
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco, an American professional soccer player is a striker with San Diego Wave FC (NWSL) which is the highest division of women's soccer in the United States. She also co-captained the United States women's soccer team from 2018 to 2020 with Megan Rapinoe as well as Carli Lloyd. After graduating early from the University of California, Berkeley in the USA, where she played for the California Golden Bears, Morgan was drafted number one overall in the 2011 WPS Draft by the Western New York Flash. In the team, she made her debut in professional football and assisted the team in winning the league title. Morgan was just 22 at the time was the youngest athlete in the national team at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, in which the team finished second. At the 2012 London Olympics, she scored the game-winning goal in the 123rd minute of the semi-final clash against Canada. Her 2012 ended with 21 goals and 28 assists, and Mia Hamm was the only American woman who scored both 20 and 20 goals. This made her the 6th-youngest U.S. player ever to hit 20 goals in a season. Following her selection as the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the year Morgan was also a FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan helped the United States win the title at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups. Morgan was also included in the Dream Team. In 2019, Morgan won the Silver Boot.
