
Although she tried unsuccessfully to reach out to record labels and ask for help but her situation changed when Rob Fusari was her music producer. He was supportive of her career as a musician and they established a strong working relationship that led to an affectionate relationship. Fusari was the one who gave her her stage name Lady Gaga. It was in honour of Radio Gaga by Queen which Stefani was a fan of. Akon, who was already acquainted with Lady Gaga's songwriting status, saw her sing at an event and offered her a contract with his label Kon Live Distribution. Gaga was thrilled to accept the contract. Lady Gaga was then known as a singer. Fusari was also a producer, in addition to RedOne and Martin Kierszenbaum.
