Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on the 10th of March, 1958, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die maker as well as former worker in the factory Joseph William Stone II. Michael, Kelly and Patrick, are three of her siblings. Stone is a gifted student in the classroom as a young child, began in second grade at five. In 1975, she graduated from Saegertown high school in Saegertown (Pennsylvania). In addition, she competed in and was crowned at the Miss Pennsylvania beauty contest. Stone moved from Pennsylvania to New Jersey in 1977 with her aunt, to explore a career as models. In just a few months, she signed up with Ford Modeling Agency. After that, she moved to Europe and spent an entire year in Milan as well as Paris. But, Stone became disillusioned with the modeling scene within Europe and decided to go into acting in Europe while she was there. Woody Allen's film, "Stardust Memories", got mixed praise at the age of 20.
