Anamaria Marina is an Romanian actress. Her debut on screen was Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 movie for which she was awarded the British Academy Television Award as Best Actress. Fluently speaks French, German and English. Her mother was a violinist The father of her is a professor of theater at one of Romania's top acting schools. She was awarded the Best Female Actor of the Year in 2000 Award at the young Actor Gala Mangalia. She was honoured"an European Shooting Star" by the European Film Promotion Board. She was a teacher for four years at the University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu Iasi. bAnamaria Marineca is a Romanian film actress who was born on the 1st of April 1978 in Iasi Romania. A performer of Romanian descent Anamaria Marinca made her debut in film with the British-Canadian TV film Sex Traffic for which she won the British Academy Television Award for Best Actress. In addition to her stellar performance in the film, Anamaria Marinca will be remembered by the character she played in Romanian artist-directed film 4 Months 3, Weeks 2 Days. The film was awarded several accolades including the European Film Award Best Actress given by the London Film Critics. The actress starred as an actress from Romania in Romanian actress in Cristian Mungiu's film 4 months 3 weeks and saptamani si 2 zile (four months, three weeks and two three weeks and two days) which was awarded with the Palme d'Or and other prizes at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. She also appeared on The Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. In 2008, she played Yasim anwar, a character from the BBC Five-episode miniseries The Last Enemy. Marinca played roles in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven as also in the Romanian film Boogie. She appeared as Irma on Fury 2014 in which she played the role of a German name aunt of Emma.
